Description:This course will equip first responders and first receivers with the skills needed to ensure proper patient triage, treatment, and transportation in the event of exposure to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) weapons. Exercises conducted in a CBRNE scenario will reinforce classroom lectures and interaction. Participants will use their training to demonstrate proper techniques for assessment, triage, mass decontamination considerations, treatment and stabilization. In addition, course participants will receive training on the proper techniques for protecting themselves and limiting cross-contamination. Participants are strongly recommended to complete two online courses prior to attending the PER-211 course.
