The course is a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified course intended for the full spectrum of participants within a community - from volunteers to highly trained, skilled professionals. This course is a two-day workshop and facilitated discussion that covers the roles played by each of the following in distributing resources during a public health emergency: The Center for Disease Control's Division of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS); the state, territory, or tribal nation, and the local jurisdiction. Prerequisites: It is highly recommended that participants complete the following Independent Study courses: IS700 - NIMS: An Introduction; IS800.b - National Response Framework, an Introduction; IS100 - An Introduction to Incident Command System; IS200.HC - Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations; IS808 - Emergency Support Function (ESF) #8 Public Health and Medical Services.
